Welcome!

For over 150 years Grace United Methodist Church has been built of the Rock, on the Rock and in the Rock.  Perched on a sandstone outcrop the church serves Michigan's Western Upper Peninsula city of Houghton and surrounding communities. This includes the students, faculty, and staff of Michigan Technological University and Finlandia University. 

On behalf of our church family we welcome you whether you are visiting for the first time, looking for a church home during a vacation season or seeking a permanent church family.  Please tour our website to learn more about our church family, our regular events and services, and our special times together.  Please know that you are welcome to join us at any and all of our times together.

9:00 a.m.  Connections Cafe opens in the church lobby featuring light breakfasts.  Choose from yogurt

     granola, bagels and cream cheese, waffles and syrup, variety of juices, coffee and tea.
     Fellowship takes place and wi-fi connection is available, too.

9:15         Praise Worship featuring contemporary music with the Grace Church Guitar Team.

9:30         Worship Service featuring a blend of traditional and contemporary music, a children's

               moment, and meaningful message and prayer.  Communion is celebrated the first Sunday

               of every month. The Communion Table at Grace Church is open to all, you only need be

               hungry for Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

10:30       Coffee Hour featuring a light snack and fellowship in the lobby of the church.  Children are 
               excused to the Fellowship Hall on the lower level for snacks and juice prior to Sunday

     School.

10:45       Sunday School for children and adults.  Classes are conducted throughout the building.
